If no one knows, I've heard Mercedes repair shops (3rd party) say they ship them to somewhere in California to be rebuilt and adjusted. So might want to ask some local repair shops if they know where this is.

I'm curious as to why you'd tear into that little beastie without something being wrong with it. I could see putting a new EHA valve on there as good PM but unless the fuel distributor is having issues, why risk it? That thing has precision slits and orifices, and some seriously tight tolerances. The fuel distributor falls into that category of parts where I'll go find one at a junkyard and clean/rebuild it and just leave it on my shelf just in case. But I personally wouldn't tear into that job with both good reason and a backup plan.

How long did you give him?

Back when he rebuilt mine 5 years ago, he told me he's the go-to-guy for many dealers. If business has increased, he might be a little backlogged.
Its a small operation as I understand it, but its top notch.

If you want a deal, I have one he rebuilt I pulled from my old 260E that I have for sale. Its sat in a ziplock bag in my parts box waiting for someone to take it! So if that interests you PM Me.

no strictly personal experience, but I've been sending customers to this guy for a long time and nobody has yelled at me yet.

Well, I have had no issues calling them in the past. They are very helpful.
