Mirror Assembly bent backwards: HELP
 

Could anyone help with this : this morning as i was driving out of my garage, i moved too close to the left of my fence and boom! my mirror assembly flexed backwards , fliiping the thing at an awkward angle . Now i cant bring it back into place and i was wondering what i Could do to put it back in place. I can see a kind of loose ball-joint kind of connection.

Is it possible to foce the assembly back into place?
