Car shocks when shifting

Hi,

When i'm shifting my car from (P) to (D) or (R) my car gives a hard shock.

Please help.

The car needs to be raised and everything in the drivetrain checked for slack. The most likely offender would be the rubber flex disks at both ends of the driveshaft. The front one typically goes bad because it is exposed to more heat.

Also depending on the model it could be a bad center support bearing. I have seen the rubber holding this bearing deteriorate and cause this.
