722.3 B1 band differences
Per the EPC we have three part numbers for this band -
126.270.01.62 and 126.270.16.62 and 126.270.18.62 Does anyone know why or what the revisions are on the band? My thinking is less aggressive friction material or total band contact surface area. Thanks for any input. |
Well you did say any input (!)
I can't help you buddy - I'm surprised there isn't more information in EPC. Whilst it might not say "this ones wider" or "this one has unobtainium on it" there should be a way of seeing which to transmission types each band is fitted. You might then see a trend such as bigger engines... |
:)
It seems this band was a running change within all 722.3s from behind lowly I6s, to large V8s. |

If you're running out of luck with EPC I guess the classic centre in California is probably the next port of call. Otherwise there are several US based transmission rebuilders who sell the parts that might be able to help. (Sorry like I said before I've got nothing solid for you) |
