Looking for hard to find air filter
http://www.bv206.co.uk/BV2062014/fil...714-145550.JPG
This is out of my Hagglunds BV206 which has a Mercedes 617.952 ( same as 300TD) motor in it. I can get one from the UK but they want 95 lbs (about 120US) so trying to find something over here and cheaper! |
Have a look at the filter for 77-81 280E/CE/SE (M110 engine, W123 & W116).
|
Is it possible to retrofit the air cleaner from a 240D or 300D passenger car with the same/similar engine?

That is what the air filter housing looks like.
|
I didn't label it but that's your engine.
[Edit]This is a 300D turbo with an air filter that should be less expensive - http://www.benzworld.org/forums/atta...r-image-6-.jpg Sixto 83 300SD 98 E320 wagon |

outside 20.5cm wide 40.5cm long, inside 12.5cm 32.2 cm 9.4cm high
looks the same shape as for the 280 but different dimensions. |
You could contact Mann (https://www.mann-hummel.com/en/corp/group/locations/usa/) with the info and dimensions to see if they have anything
