No Crank/ no start

My 1993 300E met with a fender bender that resulted in the deployment of passenger side airbag. While I have replaced most of the damaged parts, the starter is not working. I have checked the starter by using X27 to find out if the problem was upstream. The starter was verified as good. It appears to be upstream. Fuse 5 has 12+ volts. How to test NSS and verify that it is bad? Any advise on where to go from this point. Does the deployment of passenger side airbag inhibits it from starting and what should be done to make the car start and run. Would appreciate your advise or direction to resolve the starter issue.

Sorry to hear about your accident, hopefully no one was hurt. I've attached a link below to replacing the starter - hopefully this will help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Please let us know if you have any questions.

NSS info can easily be found here using SEARCH function.

Online diagnosis is a shot in the dark. 2 more things to consider:

- ignition...switch?

How do we check/test ignition and the switch in light of no crank and no start in 300E?
