Suggestions on repairing the wire under M104 CIS intake manifold

Car: 91 300CE w/ M104.980 motor

I have my intake manifold off the car at the moment and noticed one of the wires that connects to the EZL and runs to 2 points on the engine has been seriously deteriorated. The wire insulation and plastic cover have pretty much fallen apart and disintegrated. I would like to either replace (cannot find the part number in EPC) or remove/cleanup/repair before putting everything back together.

Any suggestions on what to do here? Should I get some high temperature electrical tape such as this: https://www.amazon.com/Tesa-Wire-Loom-Harness-Mercedes/dp/B00EH6IZ6Y and wrap everything up? Or is there something else I should do instead?

edit: forgot link to picture of what I'm seeing: http://imgur.com/a/i3cOO

I'd replace the wire from end to end, taping up is only viable for a 2" section that has become damaged. Also inspect the entire harness as it may also be coming apart.
