Question 1980 450SL battery good, Electrical dead

When turning on ignition, no electrical system lights come on, No panel lights, no parking lights, no solenoid click. Battery is at 100% on charger. What do I "bang on" or check next?

Dummy found the problem

Yes, it sure acted like a ground (it wasn't), a corroded positive (it wasn't), my charger showing a full battery (ah ha!) Outlet for charger had no power and charger indicated full battery when it was dead. I guess I have a power drain someplace. Thanx for your comments. Mercedes Benz is picking up the cost of the Technicians visit.

Gratis Visit for Technician

Would you mind telling us how you get a "n0-charge" call from a MB tech on a 1980 car? I thought these were chargeable after the car is off warranty.

I guess I'm just lucky and have a good Benz dealer. I went to the Dealer to discuss the problem with the service advisors and they couldn't help and suggested that I talk to one of the technicians. He dropped by after work (he lives near me) and got me running. I asked about the charges and he said, "Mercedes will cover it." I had the same thing happen when I had a failure on my 1983 300Cd and they towed it to a dealership 150 miles away for no charge. I'll still wait to make sure.

Cost is zero

Got the charge sheet in the mail yesterday and it was N/C or no charge.
