Question on brake caliper rebuild for 1991 560SEL
I have brake caliper rebuild kits for the 1991 560SEL. The two brands are ATE (for the ATE calipers) and Trucktec for the Bendix calipers.
Question: Will Trucktec work well? or should I look for genuine Bendix rebuild kits? Last edited by HuskyMan; 06-07-2017 at 02:31 PM. |

i used to work for an mb wholesaler, not available to the public. we had some trucktek-not caliper rebuild kits-but oil cooler hoses come to mind. they leaked out of the box. i THINK i would look for bendix or buy kits from the dealer-000 420 16 44. they're pricey but correct. and no chances given with brakes. good luck, chuck.

ATE is a good OEM brake supplier.

QUOTE ATE is a good OEM brake supplier.
you misunderstand. ate only makes caliper kits for ate calipers. no bendix, girling, nothing. he has bendix on his car, hence the question. and so it goes, chuck. |
