bringatrailer fail

Euro 1985 Mercedes-Benz 280SEL | Bring a Trailer

bought this off bringatrailer from Cascadia Classics, LLC. Arrived with non functioning A/C and an awful stumble just off idle. Joke's on me for buying sight unseen without a PPI.

Autobahn in San Antonio replaced the injectors, vacuum advance and starter and recharged the a/c (which leaked out fully within three days).

Transmission shifts hard as well but Lucas trans tune helped a LOT.

Issue is now it cuts out fully under heavy load in top gear when trying to accelerate (around 50 miles per hour/2600 rpm). manually shifting into 3rd allows you to accelerate just fine.

Will take it back to autobahn to reassess... it was running quite flawlessly until the other day when that stumble started.

Any feedback is welcome regarding the stumble and recommended maintenance considering records are fairly limited. Oil change, tranny fluid change and diff fluid change will be done shortly.

x2 on the vacuum hose check. The M110 is very finicky. Shame the car isn't running well since it looks like a stunner in the pictures.
