W201 Economy gauge moving backwards

I recently did several things on my 2.6 including fuel filter, fuel pumps, blower motor and OVP. After getting it to run again I realized that my Economy Gauge now is operating in reverse. When I press the accelerator it moves to the left. I am pretty sure that in changing out the blower motor I probably did something to a vacuum line. Any ideas on where to start.
Also the car now idles very low and if I have the AC on and stop at a light the car will die sometimes. Any idea on that?

mine sits on the right hand side when its off , but as i start it up,, it swings over to the left as you start the engine. And it moves over to the right when engine is running about 1\4 off the right hand stop ..The more fuel you give it the vacuum economy gauge will move more to the right .. Your economy gauge is working right .. May be to get the engine in tip top condition i would change the plugs for none resistor type Replace ht leads distributor top and rotor . Look for any vacuum leaks no mater how small in pipes and rubber joints . Check all earth points and clean fuses in the fuse box .Remove fuses one at a time , and note from where you take them out from . Take a picture of the fuse box ,so you dont go wrong . Good luck
