Got rid of my ugly amber parking lights
On my w124s and w210s I have ugly amber parking lights. They look atrocious on anything you put them on. Especially those half-amber half-clear parking lights on the w124s.
I ordered one set from eBay for my W210s to see if they were decent. They came with a set of LED bulbs and clear lenses. They are made in Taiwan and were $50.00 but clipped right in and seem of quality compared to the OE lenses. Here's how they look: Here's a before: I'm going to order them for both my w210s and w124s to get rid of ugly amber. Who thought that would look good? I'll also post an update when I upgrade the city lights to white LEDs for increased illumination at nighttime driving and as well as longevity. I plan to change the entire interior and trunk bulbs and everything to LED. These bulbs that came in the kit as well were canbus-compliant |

What increased illumination do LED park lights offer over headlights?

However, I can see where it'd be functionally beneficial for the interior lighting. Less heat and more light.

Never thought they would, they just came with the lenses. Thr city lights will be a nice enhancement over the yellow ugly bulbs. Also, more illumination.

I like the OEMs. But... some like chocolate; some like vanilla.
Variety is the spice of life as they say. Your W210 is not like the others.

Dear Lord, that is hideous! I don't know what kinds of creatures you have running loose in your burg but whatever it is reflected in your fender should be hunted and banned from the city limits!
You mean "marker" lights and not "parking" lights. Before I saw the pictures I was confused. I couldn't remember seeing amber parking lenses on W210's.

I prefer the amber (actually installed Euro corners lenses on my W201 which are more amber than the US variants), but I'd have just painted them black so they disappear if anything.
There's probably a Euro impact strip that deletes those lights. Such is the case with E30/E34 era BMWs. I also prefer the look of incandescent bulbs so I have warm white LEDs in my city lights. |
