Quick fuel line question.. car is stuck on side of road

Hey folks,

my friends 1985 230E (w123) sprung a leak from a fuel line this morning.

The line is the one that runs from the fuel distributor to the warm up regulator.

Looking on pelican parts or german auto parts I don't see fuel lines listed for sale.

Dumb question.. I know (i drive a diesel tho so cut me some slack)

but do we have to get a line made by napa or something?
- If we have to get a line made by napa does anyone know the correct size it should be? Is our best bet just to take them the old one?

Does anyone have a good quick fix?

Thanks!

Is this a formed metal line, braided line or rubber hose? A 190E 2.3 probably has the same part for reference or to take from a parts car.

The 1985 230E should have a fuel pressure regulator. Here is a picture of my 190E 2.3 that has a short metal fuel line from the fuel distributor to the fuel pressure regulator. Is it like this one?

Hmm. this particular 230E is slightly different from the picture posted above. For anyone reading in the future.. i temporarily resolved this issue with jb weld.

W123 chassis were fitted with K-Lambda, rather than KE, hence no external fuel pressure regulator. Notice that the OP did not fail to identify the damaged line.
