w211 e55 rims on w210 - What length bolt to use?

Heya!

Found a mint-ish set of staggered OEM e55 w211 rims with 4 nice tires (50%ish tread) for $700.

I'd like to get them, as I've been looking for new tires and for staggered rims.

I know the hub bore will transfer, and the bolt pattern is the same. I know I'll have to get 12mmx1.5 bolts with an R14 ball seat on them.

But I don't know what length shank the bolts will need, does anyone know?

My goal is for the rim face to be even with the quarter panel face in the rear, so if I need a spacer for that then I'd like to include that length as well.

The only real way is to measure the length of threads sticking out of your original wheels then place the bolt in the new wheels and do the same.

Given you want to use spacers, not knowing the thickness makes it impossible to guess over all length.

Are w211 E55 lug bolts different length from w211 E350 lug bolts?

I'm running w211 E350 sport wheels on my w210, using the RAD m12x1.5xR14 bolts. I can look up the length when I get home tonight.

Here's what I'm using:

RAD Lug Bolt 12mmx1.5, 26mm Shank, R14 Ball Seat, Hex 17
Part number: 20-4067-B

When I first got them, I compared how much of the thread protrudes beyond the backside of the wheel, and it was the same length, so 26mm shank is correct at least for the E350 sport wheels. So you'll need longer than 26 mm if you intend to use wheel spacers.

Here's a few photos of my car, to give you an idea of the offset. I think they're perfect as-is, and don't need any spacers. Therefore, *if* the E55 wheels fit on an E350 perfectly, without spacers, they should fit the same on w210. I'd bet there's a lot more folks who have put those E55 wheels on another w211, vs. on a w210.

That offset is about what I'm going for, thanks :D Spacers shouldn't be needed, I just put in a crazy expensive for the only 12mmx1.5 r14 round bolts I could find at $80 >.>
