W208 soft top controller
 

I recently got a rebuilt top controller for my 2001 CLK430 and I thought somebody said that it had to be programmed to be "married" to the chassis controller. Other references that I've seen on the top controller make no such reference as though it is plug and play.

Does a "new" controller have to get programmed (by the dealer?) or is it a plug and play solution?

Hi Neil - from my understanding and what I've read online; this can be done yourself without needing the dealer. Other members need to confirm this though.
