Tech called today and said sure enough my controller (MSC module) was the culprit. $675 to fix p+L. Will pick it up fri.
Seemed a bit steep to me but I'm aware that some of the other modules can run 4 figures. RW are u having any luck? |

Car goes in in 2 weeks. If you can find out the part number and it's location I think I can manage a plug and play unit myself.
Thanks |

RW, the part no. for the MSC module is 140B201426 ($425.33). Functions work again but I have a broken pivot arm in the right side mirror. Wish I had time to fix it myself, it's just a small piece of plastic that broke off on the inside and is preventing the mirror from moving correctly. Good Luck!
Steve do you know of an easy fix ? |

The mirror can be replaced separately from the whole assy and could include the broken part. There are many possibilities. We occasionally fix mirrors with pieces from other broken mirrors (having a body shop helps here). There are no other separate pieces (except some wiring harnesses are separately available).
The part number you gave has a "B" in it. There are no letters in that section of a MB part number. The "B" should probably be an "8". The device is located in the right kick panel I think.

I can't seem to pull up a price for that part on partshop using the part number with a 8 / B. Is this something I need to get from the dealer?
