help can get my 2006 clk hood open

O.k. guys/gals today when I want to open my hood to charge the battery can get the hood open on my 2006 clk. I did not have a problem about a month or so ago.

It did no pop open any when I pull the lever. I tried having a buddy pulling on the lever while I giggle (pushing is down and pulling it up) on the hood but nothing. Both primary latch is still locked.

The cable is attached at the inter lever. (I don't think it is a broken cable issue) I get a lot of resistance when I pull on it. And I get very little cable travel at the inter lever (I can't pull down the lever more than 1 inch). Can anyone confirm how fare down can you pull on a normal Mercedes hood release.

What is next guys??? Does anyone have disassembly diagram/instructions and part diagram for the hood release system. And also the same of the interior hood lever.

Get someone to push down on the hood slightly while pulling the lever in the car then see if hood will pop up enough to reach the safety latch. This should release it enough to be able to continue to open it. Also put a little grease on the contact points of the latch once you get it open.

Remove the two bolt that hold the hood release lever inside the car. Remove the cable from the handle. Grab the cable with a pair of vice grips and pull (hard). The latch will release the hood. Add hood latch lubrication to your maintenance routine.
