Where Are these Noises Coming from
Hello All.
I have been dealing with this noise problem for a while and I can not detect it on my own. When I am cruising with my foot off the gas, I hear loud chirping noise coming from underneath my car. Once I put my foot on the gas and accelerate, the chirping goes away. I believe its either from the Exhaust system, or Suspension! But I dont know where. Any Ideas? Thanks to all in advance!

This is just from personal experence, im not too sure whats wrong. But when i was driving my moms mini-van and goin down some winndy roads after that her car would squel in the front right brake when ever u were to stop or not accelerate...But what i would guess is that it's the belt, check it for any rips or freghness.
Hope this helps   heh, nvm...i see now that u are an expert MB mechanic, so im sure u would have known about the belt

Makes the noise free wheeling in gear, goes away when under load. Check the center bearing, might be headed south.
