1992 300CE Megasquirt Install
Few questions that I can't find the answers for.
I "think" I have a M104 24V with a busted bosch kjet system I want to dump for megasquirt. Turbobandit VR wheel + bracket the way to go? I've seen the Cam cover trigger wheel, but i'm not sure if it as accurate. Can I install a 1993-95 intake manifold on my 92 so I can use normal injectors? Or easier to modify my own intake and get a fuel rail? Not going to put a turbo or anything on just yet, I just want it to be reliable unlike the bosch! Thanks in advance. |

I'm partial to using a late 111 or 104 flywheel with the 60-2 pattern but it is a chore to swap a flywheel. I never have any trigger issues with my turbo 103 and the MS forums are chocked full of people chasing triggering problems.
The late EFI manifold doesn't swap, nor the intermediate EFI intake. Most EFI injectors don't fit the CIS injector bungs very well either but the good news is that any EFI 104 fuel rail will line up with the bungs on the CIS manifold. FWIW, I'm considering MS3 for my 90 CE. After all of my engine mods I'd like to be able to tune it better than the CIS allows.
