Question about condenser replacement
I had to remove my a/c condenser to fix the accident damage on my w140. So I had to drain all the freon and oil. My question is when I get everything back together what is the procedure for recharging it? Do I need to add oil and freon, or do they come together in the can?

Add oil to the various parts as you are putting everything back together. Some goes in dryer, some in the condenser and most in the compressor (if it is a Sanden unit). After you button everything up run a vacuum for at least an hour and then charge with the correct amount of refrigerant.

Pressure test the system with nitrogen
Pulling a vacuum is not an adequate leak test The system in my 124 wagon will hold 100psi all day It will leak down from 150psi to 100psi in a couple of hours 30" of vacuum is equivalent to about -15psi |

Ok just a heads up, I don't have a vacuum, just a diy guy here. I just want to put everything back together. I dont know about a little here a little there lol. I just know when I took it apart I took the line off at the condenser and let it leak out there, so I just want to make sure what came out is replaced. oil wise not freon. I know how to check that part with a guage.

Great thanks. So the dryer is the cylinder on the fender? And it takes pag 46?

yes that cylinder is the dryer and you need to replace it when the system is opened up for service or repair. and yes it takes PAG46 oil.
