1984 300D powersteering not working

My power steering just stoped working. I changed the pump last year with a used one. It worked fine until now. There is no leaks and the pump is full of oil. the front end is all new. does anyone have a idear what is wrong? Thanks.

Belt still on t?

Belt still tight? Sometimes they get loose enough to fail to drive the pump.

Is there fluid movement in the reservoir when the engine is running?

I changed the pump and still have the same problem.

Either a hose is blocked, or there's a problem in the steering box. I'd start by checking the hoses.

I saw that the high pressure line was damaged next to the fitting. So I changed it thinking that maybe the inside was damaged also. The line was clear. now im going for some steering fluid. thanks for all your help. I will check the return line also.

Can you see fluid movement in the reservoir when the engine is running? If so, the pump is moving fluid and your problem is likely in the steering box. It's highly unlikely to be the pump or lines - you already changed the pump and the hydraulic pressure is sufficient to blow through any "blockage" that may be in the lines.

If you changed the pump and had an air pocket in there, it's possible you're airbound. Try running the engine and turning the steering wheel lock to lock several times to "burp" the system.

yes fluild is moving in the pump. The steering is harder turning to the right than it is to the left. I will replace the steering box next. Thanks for the help!
