QQ: W210 front bumper cover removal
 

Hi,
I have searched and watched a few articles and videos on youtube, I thought I got it but I may not. So far I had removed all the screws that hold the plastic mud covers, 2 bolts on each side of the bumper cover, the 2 bolts on the front of the radiator but I still could pull the bumper forward to remove it. I didn't want to force it because I was afraid I mmight break something. Was there any other bolt(s) or nut(s) that I had not yet removed? It seemed to be stuck at each corner (see picture below). I did see a copper bolt like at each corner and there was a bigger hole next to it (see picture below). Was I too chicken that I didn't pull it hard enough? Any help you could give me, I would appreciate it much.

thank you sixto. I did watch that video many times before I tried to take it off. I am not sure if there is any difference between an E430 w210 and an E320 w210. The video is for an E430.

The first picture on the second row, I am not sure where that lock is. That was the one that I did not do yesterday. Once I find it, I hope it is just a matter of using a screw driver and push it forward or backward.

Its a terrible picture - its inside the wheel well from a vantage point no one would ever see. You have to remove the wheel/tire and the inner splash guard unless you have small hands - and in that case you can undo the forward part of inner splash guard and sneak you paw in there. I can't do it but I have seen it done with the wheels turned out sharp.

If you are still stuck I can shoot a few pictures of a donor car with the bumper off that will make this clearer.

thank you TX76513 for your input. I did remove the wheels/tires and I removed almost all of the nuts and bolts for the inner splash guard. Afterwards, I was looking in and up from the side and from the bottom of the wheel well, I did not see anything apparent to me. If you could shoot a few pictures that will give me an idea of where that lock is, or whatever else that I was missing, I would appreciate it very much. Thx

The flange pictured (square) is what you are looking to remove from the bumper casing.

I did remove that bolt and the sides of the bumper did come down. I thought it was an indication that nothing else was holding it except for something at the corner. I will try again to see what else there that I could remove. The picture from the link I posted earlier said there is a lock that I should have slide it forward to remove it. I can't seem to know where that is yet. :( Since it is the wife's car, I had to screw and bolt everything back last weekend so that she could go to work with. I won't have a chance to try again until this weekend.

That piece pictured has a bolt and flange - and while this is completely removed you actually loosen and turn to remove bumper. You gotta "YANK" on it sort of like the glove box to replace cabin filters:P
