Castrol ATF questions

It's been a long time since I've purchased Castrol ATF. I have to use MB ATF in my 2001 SLK 230, $$. The last time I purchased Castrol for the 190E it was marked Dexron III Mercon on the front of the container.

Anyone purchased Castrol ATF lately? If so, which one did you get. Here are 2 that were recommended for my '93 190E 2.3, they both state they meet Dexron III requirements.

Thanks

Really? Many manufacturers dropped referring to Dex III by name even if it’s the same formulation.

Castrol makes a "Multi Vehicle ATF" - very good stuff. Looks like the "Transmax" is similar to the "Multi Vehicle" in spec so I would go with that one.

The “import” ATF actually says Dexron-IIIH, which is the final variant of Dexron-III, and it’s specified for rice-burning transmissions. I would stick with the Dex-Merc.

Thanks Hirnbeiss, I'll get the Dex-Merc.
