The least expensive way to get a replacement key. W164
Ok guys,
I bought my wife a used 2008 w164. Good deal. But only had one key. I know before buying it I knew it could be expensive to get an replacement, but even with only one key, though it was worth it. I know I can go to the dealer. But is there an inexpensive reasonable way I can take. Like buying a used one and have it either reprogram myself or have someone do it. Can someone point me in the right direction links etc. Feel free to pm me if you folks like thanks |
IIRC the dealer is the only source in the US. Bring your title, registration, firstborn, etc. Fobs can’t be reprogrammed for DAS 3 W210s. I doubt they can be reprogrammed for newer cars. That doesn’t stop listings of used fobs on Craigslist and eBay.
