Help Power Steering Oil leak.

1 Attachment(s)
This is on my 2008 ML350 with about 100K miles.

O.k guys/gals. I have a power steering oil leak. I though and was hoping it was just the o-right on the break fluid reservoir and changed that and still I have a leak. Attached pictures. Circle 1 for sure is a oil droplet. And circle 2 appears to be a droplet forming, coming from just right under the dust boot, or cap. Right now it appears to be leaking at the spindle that is attached to the steering shaft.

Any Ideas? Also when I jack up the car to see what is going on a few table spoons of power steering fluid came suddenly dripping out must be from the angle change of the car.

Clean everything off with brake cleaner, get engine to operating temp, and turn wheel back and forth several times. It's hard to see exactly where leak is coming from with the wind from driving force blowing it all over the place.

PS: Is "bule" Porsche 993 supposed to be blue?

clean out this area completely.

then go to the parts store and buy some UV dye for checking oil leaks. Use that in the system and use a blacklight bulb or the UV light kit from the parts store.

You will find the leak for sure.
