How do you remove the Headrests on a W107 SLC? They are adjustable in height, but there seems to be some hidden locking system keeping them from being fully removed from the seat.

Halfway down on the rear of the seat there is a button possibly that will release it. The button is usually hidden behind the covering but if you look closely you will see it. (This is if it is like the later cars)

WOW !!

An answere in 9 minutes on a Sunday night !!

You were correct; the hidden switch is behind the seat material, in line with the outboard headrest vertical support rod.

Many Thanks..and the SLC looks great with the new sheepskin covers!
