front wheels slide in sharp slow turns
I have a w140 last year I rebuilt the lower control arms, and new links.I couldn't afford a alignment. My driver side is wearing a little to the outside.I measured all parts, with calipers, and painted them prior to disassembly,so they went right back in place.
I have noticed now with the cold rains, slow right or left turns feel like turning a truck on dry pavement with 4 wheel drive on. Also running 225 55 17s instead of 16s |
front wheels scoot would be better

Usually front wheels sliding/scooting/scrubbing in a turn is due to the geometry being off in the front suspension. The alignment will run you about the same as a new decent tire, so pick your poison...
