'87 300td ATE rear brake caliper piston alignment
In process of re-sealing my calipers. Understand that the pistons need to be aligned correctly (20 deg) to reduce noise when braking. Can I eye-ball the pistons to an a "near enough" position? If I get it wrong, are squealing brakes the worst that will likely happen...or is proper position more critical than I understand it to be. Thanks much

The angle isn't critical and was probably arrived at by random testing anyway.
The pistons can be turned in the bore after assembly if the angle isn't correct. |
Thanks for the feedback and quick response
