Trying to find a rebuild kit for my stock 230/4 mechanical fuel pump which is in great condition other than the cracked diaphram. If I can't get one of those, then I would like a replacement pump. I ordered what is supposedly the right pump from fastlane, but the plumbing is on the left rather than the right, and it doesn't seem to work, they sent me the other option as well which was not right at all.

Anyway just wondering if anyone knows of other options for finding these older parts.

The product id on fastlane was E3000-12084 Fuel Pump. My wife must have thrown away the box and packing slip because I can't find either now.

That's supposed to be the right pump, but for some reason a 230 fuel pump is actually sort of a gray area. There are alternatives and your best bet is a 1150900150. It much less expensive than the pump you got and it should work quite nicely. The 115 pump is straight and has two non-threaded push fittings to clamp fuel hoses on.

They sent me the 1150900150 pump when the first one didn't work. But that definately wasn't right, I definately need the lever version rather than the straight. I think that the first one they sent me must have just been defective or something, and the fact that the hoses point in different directions than the original made it hard to install.

My original worked fine, and still was pumping gas when the diaphram cracked, just that it was pumping half of it through the diaphram and out the pump breather hole onto the ground. So I know that the mechanics of the engine are fine.

I guess I should put a picture up or something.

Are there any other places I might call to find this part? Or perhaps I should just try to make a replacement diaphram.
