How do I put spare tire cover back on? E320 Wagon

I checked for a spare tire and tool kit, and ended up not knowing how to put it back on.

I don't want to damage it.

Don't forget to grease the screw and threads on the spring compressor.

There are two arms on the hinge end that fit into holes in the cargo area floor. Then there are two spring loaded hoops that are fed into strikers along the window sill. You might have to play with the release button to get the hoops to align with the strikers. The hoops aren’t well retained. If the clips and hoops come off, you might lose the torsional springs that keep the hoops in contact with the release button.

I have a 1999 E320 with the spare tire cover issue, as accurately described above. I had lost a couple of the gold plated clips, so I JB welded the little plastic tabs to retain the hoop-rod. It didn't work, and a friend of mine was in the junkyard today and he got me a few of those little metal clips and a couple of springs. Regarding the middle spring, on the left hoop, the one closest to the taillight, I can't figure out how to install the inside-middle spring. Can I see a picture of how it's supposed to be oriented?

why is it you have to click the "go advanced" button to subscribe? Shouldn't there be a subscribe button in the plain old mobile view?
