also, ive heard that these cars had a problem with the engine wiring harness?? and that it may be possible to get it covered under a good will repair thru mercedes benz? do you have to be someone special for this to happen or meet some sort of requirements?? or do you just have to get lucky?

Do a search for the threads posted by Arthur Dalton. Click on members, click on advanced search, enter "Arthur Dalton" in User name, and then click on search for a listing of all his posts.

He is the fault code guru and seems to have addressed almost everything.

Also, the engine wiring harness problem on 93-95 M104's has been discussed probably a hundred times or more. Your chance of getting a goodwill replacement has been beaten to death.

Do a search for "engine wiring harness", and you will spend more time reading these posts than sleeping.:D

beating a dead horse more...

Last week I had my local dealership replace the wireharness on my 95 E320 as a preventative measure. When I brough it in, I asked the service rep if the dealership was giving Goodwill for this job and he said it was up to MBUSA to authorize the goodwill, not the dealership.

Anyway, it worked out as the dealership and/or MBUSA paid for the parts and charged me for labor, $384. :D
