450 SL soft top removal

I just purchased a 1975 450SL and removed the hard top last evening. However, I have no clue how to put up the soft top and it is going to rain today! HELP me! I purchased an owner's manual online and hope to receive it next week. Until then, I know it sounds like a stupid question but it is nothing like the manual Miata soft top I had before. Is it electric or manual? If it is electric, where the heck is the switch?

The same knob you used to release the hard top also releases the boot and allows you to fasten the soft top down.

Use that knob to open the boot and fold the whole top forward, including the rear section that has the rear windows.

Then close the boot and fold the rear section of the top down until it latches. Then use the handle to pull it down.

You need the special tool to latch both sides near the B-pillar and the windshield.
