1996 E320 W210 M104 Resonance Valve hookup
Goooood grief.
I've done many good things - I've removed, repaired, and replaced my throttle body, fixing all the bad wiring, and that worked, and I've replaced the throttle body boot that I had to cut off when I did that job, and I've deleted the silly little resonator box under the intake runners... But... when I reassembled everything, I couldn't find the vacuum hose that needs to hook up to the bottom of the resonance valve. I hooked up the electrical connector. The vacuum line that goes to the resonance valve is obviously there somewhere. But I've looked, and looked, and I just can't find the thing. Can somebody please tell me where the OTHER END of the vacuum hose that goes to the bottom of the intake resonance valve COMES FROM. So I can find it. And plug it in. Link to image below, posting the image didn't seem to work. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HnD0r7BLy3SRgn-nMJ4GoaPD5hk45E-N/view?usp=sharing |
The valve gets vacuum directly from the intake manifold and the nipple hanging down should have a little bell shaped terminator on it as its the vent for the valve.

Well that's what I kind of thought... but it seems like after I reassembled the whole thing, I don't hear the change in engine sound when I rev up high, so I thought maybe I broke it. I guess I just won't worry about it.
