junk wheels for w126
I'm going to be parting out a w126 (300SDL) soon and the owner is selling it without wheels. I have a few bundts lying around, but I'd rather keep them if I could.
What wheels will fit a w126 in the front without having to remove the caliper? I don't care what they are as they will be sent to the scrapyard. I just need something cheap to be able to move the car around (onto a car dolly/around a parking lot/onto a flatbed). |
If it's a 1st generation W126 (14" wheels) "steelies" from a W123 (and probably W114-5) will fit. Not sure about the clearance on 2nd gen.'s. I'd imagine you could mount the wheels backwards just to get it to roll to the scrapyard if there is a clearance issue.

I have some beat 15s if you want one. Long story, but it is good enough to roll a car. Pay scrap value and freight, it is yours.
Second gen has larger front brakes, so 14s are difficult there. |
