Upholtery Dye
Anyone have a good source or suggested place I can buy interior dye for my 260E? I'm going to need to dye some parts such as a 3rd brake light housing and sunvisors soon.
My color is a dark brown, not sure of the name ... Thanks Dale

For leather or cloth I prefer leather Magic.
https://leathermagic.com I'm not too impressed with their plastic or vinyl line. Their products have the advantage of good color matching but don't seem as durable as the SEM line. They are water-based so they are easier to use. https://www.semproducts.com/products/refinish/flexible-coatings The disadvantage of the SEM coatings is colors limitation. Both of them require some fairly extensive preparation to do the job properly.

Try leatherique
I have done a complete color change, leather and vinyl on my Jag about 18 years ago with leatherique dye. Has head up perfectly for 18 years and it was a color change from burgundy to light tan, slighlty lighter than MB Palomino. I would say, that's a good testament to their product quality
Their products are water based and easy to work with, although you should condition, and prep the surfaces per the directions and you will get a nice result. They have all of the Mercedes factory colors in stock, so you will get an exact match. Home Page | Leatherique Restoration Products

Thanks guys for your direction here. Since I do not have access to the original window sticker that would tell me the interior color, how else do I find it? Is there a body tag with "Interior color" coding? I'll let you know how it goes!
Dale

Try this guy.

The data plate on the radiator crossmember should tell you the color code of your interior, there are also online tools that you can use to enter your VIN and that should provide the datasheet on interior exterior colors. You can also look on the data plate and see if a three number combo aligns with what leatherique shows for Mercedes interior colors via this page:

Your color sounds like 'Brazil Brown'
Excellent color when clean. Post a picture if able.
