HID bulbs

I want a pair of HID bulbs, no, not the ones that are 600 bucks, but the kind you see on all those slow rice burners...anyone have any reccos.? What are the top three brands?

have heard that...

>PIAA manufacture don't last very long but are bright
>some of these HID-imitation bulbs are actually higher wattage bulbs (w/ tint) that bring risk of melting wiring/connections (55/60W are safe, but may provide less effective/usable lighting on the road)

hope this helps

cool lights

Seems like all the 'rice-burners' I've seen with these bulbs don't have good illumination...it's more of a fad or look than anything else.

I wouldn't compromise nightime driving safety for 'cool looking lights'. The HID's are amazing lights and perform very well.

The tinted 'blue' lights in the tricked out cars you see are done for appearance only and provide no functionality.

I had soem in my car, noticable difference was light tone. no noticable light difference. tookt hem out. wasted $20.00
