Clutch Disc Search
The application:
1989 (and probably other years) 300E, manual transmission. Dimensions: 240mm OD 1 1/8"-26 spline (this spline is usually associated with GM, but seems to be what MB used) I would like to know the part#s for OEM, and aftermarket suppliers. |
Just went through this myself. Verify that you need the kit for single mass flywheel. The transition was 89-90. EPC shows models up to 9/89.
Aftermarket part nos: SACHS 3000 113 002 LuK 11-025 I couldn't find either available in the US. Took a month to get the SACHS kit delivered from Germany, but it finally got here. https://i.imgur.com/L3oZQQs.jpg |
Aftermarket part nos above are for clutch kits. Here are numbers for disc by itself. I was able to find the clutch kit for only slightly more than the disc. About the same including the cost of getting the press plate resurfaced.
LuK: 324 0047 21 SACHS: 20 1862 116 031, 86 1862 116 003, 86 1862 116 031 VALEO: 803011 |

Much thanks. You used the term "kit" in referring to your purchase; did you purchase a pressure plate & disc set (kit), or just a disc? Are the Sachs and LuK numbers for just the disc, or for a set? |
See previous post above yours. I reread and realized you were just looking for disc part numbers. Seems I got in right before you did.

For my recent E320 stick conversion using a 1988 300E 5 spd. trans (single mass flywheel) it was easy. Rock Auto provided the LUK kit you referenced below. Parts in the LUK box were Sachs products. It was about $255 in late 2016. It's currently out of stock. They list a Sacks kit, also out of stock.

I recently had a Sachs 1862 116 031 clutch disc stolen and in the box was also a Dorman clutch alignment tool for GM.
