4matic W211 E500 Wagon LCA

Hello,

A couple weeks ago I purchased a higher mileage 2004 E500 wagon. I have a shake from 55-70mph and I can move my left front LCA bushing about 12mm with a pry bar. The rear bushing is firm.

I don't seem to find much around 4matic front lower control arms when searching the internet. I do find a lot on the non 4matic with the two separate control arms. There does not appear to be any aftermarket for the 4matic LCA. Is the only option $800 for lower control arms from Mercedes, or fight with bushing replacement and ball joints? I was hoping for a Lemforder option.

I'm going to have about $1700 in parts for the front suspension rebuild by the time I'm done. UCA, LCA, tierod ends, sway bar end links. I couldn't imagine having to pay a shop to have these installed.

Yeah the aftermarket doesn't really like to support the 4matic cars because they were less than 10% of the production run. It's same story with the W203 4matics. Your only option is the dealer or some of the online dealer parts sellers like parts.com. it's the hidden 4matic tax. Same with front brakes, axles and steering components.

Well, I replaced the trans and engine mounts and now the vibration has lessened considerably. I'm probably going to replace the flex discs and possibly the carrier bearing before I mess with the control arms. Guess it's driveline related

It looks like the price is around $560 online, but yes, MB parts only.
