David, have you considered using the jack that came with your vehicle? I am unfamiliar with MB vehicles that new, but if you use the car jack it's possible you can place a jack stand under the jack pad (assuming your vehicle has jack pads).

Its a scissor jack so it has to use the jack pad which is where I want to put the jack stand. The jack point in the video in the post Sixto made is the perfect spot to jack it up.

FYI if anyone has a 204 it has one as well.

David, as I mentioned I am unfamiliar with MB vehicles that new. Our newest MB is a 1998 E320 which uses a different style car jack. Sorry if I caused any confusion. I was trying to offer another option to resolve your problem. The Quick Jack is a fantastic tool for a dedicated DIYer, although admittedly it is expensive.

No worries. I used to have a '77 240D, a '87 190e 2.3 and a 95 E300D with the screw jacks. I miss those.
