Drip

This is for a 1980, 300SD, 116 body.

When the A/C is on it drips on my right foot, on the accelerator. I know there is probably a drain somewhere that is clogged. Does anyone have any ideas about where this drain is and how do I clean it?

Thanks,

Tref

You are right, there is a drain tube for the condensation that runs out of the evaporator box underneath the car. This is clogged and the condensation is not finding its way out.

So, how do I clean the clog????

You'll have to get under the car. On both side of the tranny hump, just about the middle of the tranny are two short rubber hose ends. Those are the evaporator drains. Try cleaning any built up crud from the ends with you fingers, I don't think there will be enough room to use much else. If they aren't plugged, then one or both have come loose from the box and you'll then have to gut the lower dash and reattach the hoses.
