Alon:

Do you use a pink reverse indicator light or a regular white bulb. If pink, where'd you get it?

Thanks!

Paul

Hi Richard,
Just thought I would mention that Bekkers carries bulbs that are silver/blue-ish in color, but when engaged, are bright amber. They cost $9.00 (USD) each. Shipping will be about $6.00 for both. I have not ordered these bulbs yet, but I defiantly will. I hate the amber look, but I've been pulled over twice with the bright PIAA Extreme white bulbs, so I have the amber ones in there now. I think you can find the bulbs at their website, www.Bekkers.com or call them at 1-800-624-5410 (I saw them in the latest catalog).
Good luck,
Tony

fellows,polobenz

if you use a real bright clear bulb in your turn signal indicators, you are JUST asking to get pulled over.

if you like the look [and i do] use a plain old clear bulb [ one that doesn't attract ATTENTION] most likely you won't get hassled.

check the motor vehicle laws in your state [ most are online] a lot of states will allow a clear or amber front indicator, providing it's not "blinding" to other drivers.

if you have screaming blue bulbs and a RICE look, you're going to get hassled.

if you're going to play, you have to be willing to pay.

i do not mean this to be "insulting"or "personal", i'm just saying use your head.

Hi Peter,
I know what you are trying to say. I have had no problems with the turn signal bulbs when driving to San Francisco for school (USF). Even at night, no hassles what so ever. When driving around my home town, about an hour north of the City, I do end up in a little trouble because the cops here have nothing else better to do. I don't mean it in a negative manor--it's just that they get get really picky, and they have a right to.

The bulbs I have are not blue; they are very bright white PIAA's. I put them in the slots for the rear turn-signal, and they look very nice, especially behind the 1/2 smoked 94/95 tail lights.

In the City when driving, I never have any issues with my stereo or lights. There are countless RICE rockets EVERYWHERE with tottaly illegal lights--worst ones are the ones in oncoming traffic with poorly aimed pseudo-xenon lights blinding everyone in their path. I have nothing against them, but they do at times become quite irritating.

Bye the way, when I did get pulled over, the police officers in both situations didn't write me up for a fix-it ticket, or anything else. They just bothered me about it and let me go. I think they were just giving me a hard time.

saw these cool new "titanium" brand turn indicator bulbs. they have the silver coating on them which hides the color of the bulb until you turn them on. no more painting amber bulbs. comes in blue, and amber - $6!!! i didn't get them since my "custom" ones are still ok, so i didn't check the numbers - almost sure they are 1157's.
