1966 230s alternator adjusting

Hi all, trying to tighten the alternator belt on a neighbor kids newly acquired 1966 230s. Not familiar with the “tensioner”. It seems to have a nut that keeps it tight then another nut head, that doesn’t budge. My assumption was to loosen all nuts and bolts holding it in place then turning the nut head on the threaded bolt coming off the engine block and it would loosen or tighten the belt. I’m no mechanic. ANy advice or diagram would be great. Should be mechanical and simple.
, just don’t want to break or strip any threads.
