Compatiblity of OM 603/OM 606 parts
Good morning gents (and ladies)
Everything is in a title If someones have experienced that benefit of the OM series, just add it on the list... Can be usefull (and cheaper) I have both engines (3liters) on the bench, somebody can tell me if thes 3 components from a 606 can fit on the 606? * Pistons rings * Pistons * Rods At this stage and to start that list a will say for sure: * The sump case (not for a Gwagen) * The inner oil pump Thank for helping Cheers Wawaron |

603 pistons are vastly different to 606 pistons. Different valve reliefs and different prechamber layout. The rings and connecting rods are probably a "no" as well. Despite being 3.0L 6 bangers that are closely related, there's pretty good differences between the two. You also NEVER re-use piston rings unless going back in the same cylinder they came out of and on the same piston.
