Thumbs up Compatiblity of OM 603/OM 606 parts

Good morning gents (and ladies)

Everything is in a title

If someones have experienced that benefit of the OM series, just add it on the list...
Can be usefull (and cheaper)

I have both engines (3liters) on the bench, somebody can tell me if thes 3 components from a 606 can fit on the 606?

* Pistons rings
* Pistons
* Rods

At this stage and to start that list a will say for sure:

* The sump case (not for a Gwagen)
* The inner oil pump

Thank for helping

Cheers

Wawaron

Yes, they can!

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I know you meant 603 on a 606, and I'm sorry I have nothing but smart a$$ comments.

603 pistons are vastly different to 606 pistons. Different valve reliefs and different prechamber layout. The rings and connecting rods are probably a "no" as well. Despite being 3.0L 6 bangers that are closely related, there's pretty good differences between the two. You also NEVER re-use piston rings unless going back in the same cylinder they came out of and on the same piston.
