Got a massive water leak and trying to get to the o ring by the oil filter. Can’t get the lower 6mm bolt and now it feels like it’s getting slightly rounded. Is there any trick to get a tool square on the bolt? I think I might have to Dremel tool the whole bracket off.

Use a 6mm hazet socket allen on a 1/4 rachet dipped in valve grinding compound for some bite, and do a slow pull after soaking in wd -40

Been soaking it in pb blaster for the last 2 weeks. The bolt is in there good. I need a lot of torque on this bolt. Engine has about 300k and I don’t think this has ever been apart recently. What does it take to remove the oil filter assembly?

As mentioned above, you need some grinding paste on the socket bit and some hammering to seat it first.

It’s a tight spot. Cant get a straight shot even with angle sockets. Are these bolts in the head? I’ll just remove the head. There’s a good chance this coolant leak is a head gasket anyways plus I’m spending too much time on this one bolt. This would’ve been fixed by now if I just replaced the head gasket
