Help, Windshield Winshield wipers don't work
 

My wiper motor, I can hear and the wipers will come up about an inch or 2 and go back down. Every once in awhile when I try them in the rain they will go all the way up, then down then half way from where they went before, down, then half of that. It will only wipe half of the windshield every once in awhile. What am I looking at, any ideas? Sorry for not describing it too good.

The drive bushing underneath the wiper motor may have dropped off partially It sounds like the wiper transmission is bad. Just aguess though. It happened on my W126. Good Luck.

My 350SDL just threw the ball out of the plastic socket in the wiper transmission ... did you repair this one yours?

Is the bushing (plastic socket) available for replacement? Everything else looks OK on mine ... the one ball has popped out of what looks like a mildly cracked plastic socket cup ...
