Frank the tester they were using is a lambda tester. It gives the exact reading of lambda as processed by the control unit. A reading of 10 is indicative of a very rich mixture unless it is stuck there in which case it could very well be a faulty O2 sensor. This very well could be the problem in that if the computer thinks it is running too rich it could lean the engine out until it stalls...Thanks for getting back with us.

Well the O2 sensor has been replaced as per the Dealer diagnosis. Guess what! It's still stalling. I think i'll get the fuel pump relay checked as was suggested earlier. I sure hope this doesn't turn into a replace this and replace that problem.

WHY DONT YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL TECH RE-SOLDER ALL THE COMPONENTS IN YOUR CIS-E COMPUTER? LIKE YOUR SYMPTOMS MY CAR ALSO STALLS AT LEAST 2 TIMES A MONTH- "I GET REPLACE THIS REPLACE THAT", BUT WHAT DO YOU KNOW! (IT STILL STALLS) I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE PROBLEM IS DO TO THE CIS-E COMPUTER; THANKS TO RAE190 AND TO READING THROUGH SOME COMPUTER MANUALS, I PUT A WARM HAIR DRYER TO MY CIS-E COMPUTER WHILE THE CAR WAS ON AND THAT CAUSED IT TO STALL; NOW ACCORDING TO THE MANUAL THIS MEANS THAT COMPONENTS INSIDE OF MY COMPUTER ARE EITHER BAD,DEFECTIVE ETC.., BUT IN THIS CASE(NOT PRECISELY ASSEMBLE INTERNALLY) SINCE KNOWING THAT RAE'S CAR KNOW LONGER STALLS AFTER HE RESOLDER ALL THE COMPONENTS IN HIS CIS-E COMPUTER....!

"I NEED TO FIND SOME TIME TO DO THE RE-SOLDERING IN MY CAR'S CIS-E COMPUTER, BUT I AM SURE THAT ONCE I DO IT MY STALLING WILL STOP!!!!" PETE-- IF I DON'T FIND THE TIME I WILL PROBABLY HAVE A COMPUTER TECH DO IT FOR ME! (190E 16V - 86)
