722.4 w201 no reverse

I want to fix my no reverse issue myself. This will be my first time attempting to drop a tranny and open it up. How far into the tranny is the failed friction disc materials for the reverse or K3 clutch? Anything I need to look out for?

tc out

front pump + B3 piston come out in one piece

remove K1 drum

remove B1 band

and now you can pull the reverse clutches

remember that when you put the transmission back on that the torque converter is fully seated in the pump otherwise you will damage the pump

find a 722.4 service manual online and follow it. It should have dimensions for TC to Transmission front surface
