vacuum cruise actuator
Has anyone ever disassembled the vacuum cruise control actuator? The vacuum section on mine seems fine and the motor's resistance is inline with the manual specifications, but when I test it it seems like the linkage inside the actuator is seized-up. When I pulled it from the car and turned it over, water came out of it. I'm thinking that if I can open it somehow I can free the linkage and save myself a small fortune!
Any comments/advise GREATLY appreciated... Mercedes parts are rather hard to come by on a military family budget!!! Thanks!!

Many of the early SL's had a FORD-Philco system with the actuator mounted under the hood behind the RIGHT headlight. IF yours like that?? IF so there was a RECALL that moved the actuator inside of the car!! That included a NEW a new actuator.
