Them badges...
Info: I called MB800 today. They still give high mileage badges to MB owners. C/service said that they have recently changed mileage requirements but did not know if up or down. 300e 212K--stick--'86 |

1.800.FOR.MERC
I ordered one for the 1983 240D that I recently purchased that had 199K+ on the clock when I got it. My 1981 300TDT is getting close to the first one as well.
The milestones are: 155,000 miles (250,000 km) 312,500 miles (500,000 km) 625,000 miles (1,000,000 km) I hear that they give your vehicle an added 3 HP when installed.

*FREE*
ALl you need to do is call 1.800.FOR.MERC and tell them you want a "high mileage award" form. They will send it to you, you take it to the closest MB dealer for them to sign (they didn't even verify, just signed it) and send it back to Mercedes Benz.
They say that it takes up to 4 weeks to process.

Bolt-On-Badges or Stickers?
Do these badges bolt onto the grille or are they simply stickers?
I enjoy the badges that live cars that are popular in the british car club set. I miss seeing the 'badge bar' that bolts on accross the tops of your bumpers guards on your vintage roadster. It is a nice perch for your many badges to sit on w/o hacking up your restored grille.
