Lowering my 1986 560 SEC

Hi Guys

Whats the best way/ most professional way to lower my stock car and how much should I lower it to make it look better without going crazy?

Thanks

Going to the thinnest spring pads will get you an inch at lease. It does not sound like much but it would be noticeable and not affect your ride and improve the handling some.

I put lowering springs on my 84 280e euro. They made it ride roughly and really did not seem to help handling much.

Agreeing on the pads, it’s cheap and already makes quite a difference.

I'm not familiar with your model (OP) but generally, MB starts off using a mid-point sized
spacer so if you are starting off with that on your car, selecting the thinnest spacer may
only yield about .5"-ish of a drop. Better than nothing though it depends on what you
had in mind aesthetics wise in terms of a drop

I have an 89 560sec. What "thin" replacement pads would fit?

Thanks in advance!
